Project Coordinator Denise Grothman dropped off doors for a glass install for our Beacon Hill project, the Flats, at Dan Maher Stained Glass in Cambridge. While learning much about the two types of applications for the project, we lost our minds as soon as we walked through the door.

This video is of the creation of a handblown glass vase. Even though we understood some of the process beforehand, we were profoundly changed by seeing it in this way. This video is a sexy, amazing peek into just one of the types of glass artistry that happens at Dan's studio, which is in the space co-owned by Andy Magdanz, along with his wife Susan Shapiro Magdanz. Dan is an incredible storyteller, so having him explain what was happening felt worthy of the camera. It's a long video that we edited as tightly as possible. It's mesmerizing and will hopefully be not only enjoyable but deepen your appreciation for this craft and its products and art.
