So many of us get carried away when it comes to voicing our criticisms of the Haram Police - we forget that we actually need them.

While it's true many of the 'Haram Police' are behaving in a manner which is contrary to the Sunnah - it shouldn't hide away the fact that we actually need them or at least a group of people to enjoin good and forbid evil.
