Repeated pattern phenomena are all around us in our everyday world. In this webinar, the presenters will discuss several scenarios with periodic or repeating patterns by:

• Considering a trigonometric function that could model the phenomenon.
• Describing characteristics of the model such as amplitude, vertical shift, period and phase shift.
• Looking at a data set and performing a sinusoidal regression.
• Making predictions from the regression equation.

The presenters will also look at how a rectangular, sinusoidal graph is related to a polar graph.
