They are all 24 channels, even the X14 has 24 channels. So, why is it set to default 1-16 for each new model? What uses 24 channels, and why you should and should use 24 channels from the start?

One common problem is that sometimes you are using a 10 channel stabilized receiver and if you're using a second receiver you need to change pin one to SBUS in. So, what happens to aileron 1? Can you move it, and if you do, will it be stabilized.
