Since October 2018, USCIS started the use of a stylus on a digital tablet for immigration applicants to write on their answers during the English writing test.
When you take the English writing test for your naturalization, the officer will instruct you on how to use the tablet before the test.
The officer will read up to three sentences aloud and will ask you to write them on the tablet to demonstrate your ability to write in English.

To pass the test you must write one sentence correctly out of three sentences.
