In today's video, I inaugurate the latest addition of bespoke shoes to my collection from Canons, the new firm that took over the assets of famed west end shoemaking firm Foster & Son. Continuing their 180 year legacy of crafting the finest west end bespoke shoes, Canons is pushing new boundaries in the bespoke shoemaking trade.

These shoes were crafted on my Foster & Son last, one of the most comfortable of all my bespoke shoes. They have been an absolute pleasure to wear, a pair that truly epitomizes the best of bespoke: unparalleled comfort, supreme elegance, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Every pair of new shoes -- even a pair of bespoke shoes -- needs to receive a proper shoe shine before being worn for the first time. Most new shoes are not polished before leaving the factory, leaving the leather dry and without any of the protective waxes that shoe polish provides. A proper shine wakens the leather and prepares them to be worn!

In today's video, I am exclusively using Saphir Medaille d'Or Shoe Polish, which is widely considered the best shoe polish in the world, and the kind of polish that one would find in a bespoke workshop like at Canons!
