Beautiful balconies are the lot of residents of the countries of the former USSR and Eastern Europe. Only the Slavs understand such beauty. The fact is that in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and other Eastern European countries, the best thing an apartment can have is a glass balcony. People from Western countries do not understand at all what it is. Try writing the word balcony in Google in Russian and English and you will immediately understand what I’m talking about. A balcony in Russian is something glazed, luxurious, sophisticated and beautiful. A balcony in English is primitive garden-beach furniture, rattan at best, a modest stool, chairs, an armchair on the open terrace of the balcony, even with a beautiful view of the sea or nearby buildings and neighbors.
But in Eastern Europe, a balcony is something else, it is the most sacred place in the home. A source of pride and competition. It doesn’t matter what renovation is done in the apartment itself, what comfort is created, the most important thing is the balcony.
