The Battle of Midway is, perhaps, the most famous naval battle of the Second World War. Rivaled only by the sinking of Bismarck. And with good reason, as while the Imperial Japanese Navy certainly had bite left to it, the Japanese would never reach the same heights again.

And yet, we've only found three of the shipwrecks of this battle. Three of the aircraft carriers, two Japanese and one American. These wrecks are a stark contrast with each other, between torn and twisted ruins...and a largely intact time capsule.

It is interesting to compare them, in this regard.
