This home project helped me get my senior cybersecurity analyst position as it helped me demonstrate my understanding of how one of the most widely used cybersecurity tools, a SIEM (Security Incident Event Management) actually works from a engineering perspective rather than only knowing how to analyse the alerts which is usually more of a junior analyst role.

This project taught me how to build my own SIEM alerts which is a hugely valuable skill in todays world of cybersecurity due to the fact most large companies are using a SIEM. The most common are Azure Sentinel, Splunk and Elastic SIEM.
