D.I.S.M the video shows the typical dynamic of a band reduced to its most dramatic outcome. In this case the guitarist (Ollie) and drummer (Tim) are at breaking point with the lead singer (Will) and have concocted various way to torment or even discard of him. The idea was born out of a want to create an image of a near death experience that would happen at a slow pace (Death in Slow Motion), we wanted to make the images dark but by no means gory. The scenes, such as the large ACME style TNT are inspired by Looney Tunes comic book style danger rather than actual human danger. The song is SO grand and builds to such a climax that there had to be a grand finale, which in this case shows a slow motion car chase scene in freeze frame with the characters switching roles leaving you wondering who is chasing who. The idea is that tension will keep you watching, will the fuse meet the TNT? Will the flame hit the petrol? who wins…. ? I guess we will never know.
