A less famous ship than USS Helena, the Japanese destroyer Niizuki was sunk the same night. This ship ended up broken on the bottom...yet in overall decent condition. There is very visible damage, including one of the turrets being knocked on its side.

And, yet, Niizuki is mostly in one piece. And recognizable, right down to an upright mast.

When it comes to Japanese destroyer wrecks, this probably makes her the most interesting of the ones discovered so far.
