My name is Joanna. I have a speech disorder called Speech Apraxia. Apraxia is a speech sound disorder where one has trouble saying
words correctly. The brain knows what it wants to say, but cannot say the sounds properly. I am educating people on what it's like living with Speech Apraxia or any disability, but I am focusing on my disability the most.

Last weekend was very unexpected. Mocha got attacked by another pit bull.

Luckily, Jordan was with me, and he was holding onto Mocha’s dog leash. I backed up into a truck because

I was completely terrified for my dog and what this other dog would do to mocha. We are all safe and sound luckily. Unfortunately, mocha got bitten on the side of her hip. Truly I am a little nervous about walking past dogs again because am so scared that maybe she will get attacked again.

Honestly though, mocha is ok from the attack by this other high-end pit bull but I do notice Mocha’s body language is very skittish when we see other dogs walking.
