عن أبي ذر رضي الله عنه قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يا أبا ذر أترى كثرة المال هو الغنى ؟ قلت نعم يا رسول الله ، قال فترى قلة المال هو الفقر ؟ قلت نعم يا رسول الله ، قال إنما الغنى غنى القلب ، والفقر فقر القلب ،
Abu Dhar reports that Prophet said " O Abu Dharr, Do you regard excess wealth to be richness? I said " Yes O Prophet of Allah", to which Prophet replied, "And do you regard less wealth to be poverty?". I said, " Yes O Prophet of Allah ". Prophet said, " That is not the case, (True)Wealth is contentment of the heart and (True)Poverty is poverty of the heart."
