The commercials came on tv so often that they became ingrained in people's brains. What made matters worse(or better) is that the commercials portrayed chewing 5 gum as an extreme experience rather than just chewing a piece of gum! The internet took this format of commercials that many were familiar with and amplified it to the next level with the creation of memes based around it. Now the meme has become popular and often appears in dank meme compilations on Youtube and on vine. So how does it feel?
