When Grand Theft Auto 3 released in 2001, it carved out its own unique genre. Since then, there have been plenty of other games that have come and gone, trying to connect to the same crowd, but have had trouble with staying power. Saints Row, Just Cause, Driver... all series that have fallen by the wayside in recent times, and nobody else seems to be willing to give the genre a try. So that begs the question, where have all the GTA clones gone?
