Whether we realize it or not, giving gifts can be risky. What if the person doesn't like it? Sometimes, these gifts are the skills and knowledge that we carry with us. When they are not appreciated, the sparks inside us burn out. Gary is a Professor of Sociology and Experience Design at Bentley University.
