Hello and welcome to our latest episode of Gar Borras's Time Machine. It's Episode #60, Part 2 to be exact. In part 1 of our Saturday Night Special, we looked back on the impact the Classic 1977 Movie had on Pop Culture. 1977 was the year of Saturday Night Fever and Star Wars. In 1977 when Saturday Night Fever was release it was John Travolta and Disco that were King, The Bee Gees became the sound of 1977 which we get into a lot more in Part 2 of our Saturday Night Fever Special where we take a deep dive into the music that made up the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever. The Bee Gees were of course heavily featured on the album, but you also had other hit songs by groups such as KC & The Sunshine Band, The Tramps, as well as Singer: Yvonne Elliman who had a hit song with the song "If I Can't Have You". The soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever would remain the best-selling album until 1982 when Michael Jackson's Thriller was released and took that honor! The Saturday Night Fever soundtrack also won the Grammy in 1978 for Album Of The Year! Wow what a mighty accomplishment!
