Narinder Biba was one of the great Punjabi Folklore singer. She was born in 1941 in Sargodha now in Pakistan. In 1947 her family moved to Khumana a village in district Patiala later her family moved to Ludhiana City. She passed her B. A. from Govt. College Ludhiana.
She liked to sing and she got her Folk music training from Sh. Lal Chand Yamla Jatt and Classical music training from Master Hari Dev of Goraya. She was married to a stage announcer named Jsapal Singh.
She had a long beautiful (hek) loud upper notes. She is known for singing Punjabi folklores, love romances of Punjab like Mirza Sahiban, Sassi Punnun and more. She performed in Akhaaras (Open air singing performance) and was very popular with the Punjabi People. She was a regular contributor to Akashbani (Radio) Jalandhar. She recorded Sikh historical moments like Saka Sirhind and many more.
She also recited Gurbani Shabads (Religious Sikh Songs). She also did play back singing in Punjabi films produced in Bollywood. She was one of the best sought artist. She recorded many Punjabi Folk music and religious albums. She was also very favorite artist in duets she sang with Jagat Singh Jagga, Harcharan Grewal, Mohd. Sadiq, Karnail Gill, K. Deep, Master Hari Dev and many more artists. She always sang songs suitable for family listening. Punjabees will always remember her great voice.
She died on June 27th 1997 at the age of 56
