In this video go behind the scenes with Capt. Reid of the Palm Beach Harbor Pilots Association on the nightshift, as he docks four different cargo ships of all different sizes that help support the islands of the supply chain of the Caribbean. The pilots are important to allowing the safe operation in and out of the Port of Palm Beach every day or night and to keep the goods for the islands arriving on time.

Notes: This video series is made entirely possible and is in collaboration with Florida Harbor Pilots Association. The FHPA represents the interests of Florida’s nearly 100 professional harbor pilots around the state, advocating on their behalf regarding various state and federal issues that impact them. https://floridapilots.com/

A lot of footage captured during riding with Capt. Reid on the night watch after sundown was not able to be used in this video due to the fact that there was nothing to see on camera due to the nature of the ships bridge at night being extremely dark as in order to maintain natural night vision needed for safe navigation, lights cannot be used.
