It's been 2 months since Japan was hit by the unprecedented disasters caused by earthquakes and tsunami. As you know, we have got so much support from all over the world for which we are deeply grateful. But sadly, people in affected areas are still living with fear of aftershocks, radiation, and the long-term economical impact while the international coverage of the incident has decreased drastically. Reading about it everyday, I thought of the importance of continuous efforts to remember the incident and do our small part. That is why I decided to take an action myself and ask for your support.

震災後、ニューヨークでは、被災地へ届けるお金を集めるために、日々、様々なイベントが開催され、海外で暮らす日本人として、とても心強い気持ちになりました。けれども一方で、震災後の状況についてのニュースのカバレッジは日に日に減っていき、いまなお被災地のみなさんが辛い暮らしを強いられていることが忘れられてしまうのではないかと心配になります。そこで、これまで日本をサポートしてきてくれた人たちに大きな負担をかけずに、震災のことを思い出してもらいながら、楽しく参加してもらえるイベントとして、モデルのTaoさんが発起人になり、ニューヨークでチャリティ・バザーを開催することになりました。モデル、スタイリスト、エディターなど、ファッション業界の友人たちが、私物を放出することで、日本に対するサポートを表明してくれています。
