Eureka explores the adventures within the titular town of Eureka, Oregon. The town harbors all of the greatest scientific minds in America, courtesy of the US Government, but the newly-minted Sheriff Jack Carter is a man of only average intelligence. Using his every-man logic, Carter must help the eccentric townsfolk avert increasingly bizarre scientific disasters, which begin to involve wild sci-fi concepts like the Akashic Records, alternate timelines, faster-than-light travel and virtual realities.
