Episode 417 features the return of NOKKO, the singer of the legendary rock band REBECCA, who are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year.
This time, she will be performing “Ningyo (Mermaid).” This song was written by Kyohei Tsutsumi as a personal request from NOKKO and was released as the theme song to the 1994 TV series The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, aired on the Fuji TV Network. “Ningyo” stands as one of NOKKO’s iconic songs, defining her solo career and enduring as a classic with numerous artists continuing to cover it 30 years after its initial release.
