The world’s largest, most powerful telescope was launched into space on Christmas Day - it’s called the 'James Webb Space Telescope' but WHAT IS IT and WHAT WILL IT DISCOVER? I went to the UK's National Space Laboratory (RAL Space) where part of 'Webb' was put together - a special camera called MIRI that will enable the space telescope to look for distant galaxies and baby stars using something called Infrared light!
