The starting point of this tour of the Tainan Xinhua district's city center is the Daming Cultural Park. Here, there are historical buildings such as Japanese-style dormitories, Wude Hall, Su Family Ancestral House, as well as the Baroque-style Xinhua Old Street. The highlight is the Street Yamen, which was collectively moved by a thousand Xinhua residents to the nearby Qingguo Market parking lot during the 2000 Qiankun Da Nuoyi event and then moved back to its original location after completion. Built in 1934, the Street Yamen was the administrative center at that time, but gradually became abandoned after the township office moved. The issue of whether to preserve or demolish it became an important topic when the underground parking lot was built in 1999. With the efforts of Xinhua residents, the Street Yamen successfully withstood the test and became one of the important landmarks of Xinhua.
