2012年底，楊乃文父親因病去世，令楊乃文受到打擊。
因此，楊乃文將專輯命名為《ZERO》，
因為“零”是結束，也是開始，象徵着挫折終將過去，也象徵着楊乃文的作品從原點重新開始。
