The video games we love are progressively getting worse. The artform is under attack. The common monetization methods in place are so damaging. Loot boxes, microtransactions, season passes, and so much more are damaging video games. Compromises are being made to player’s experiences for the sake of greed. Big companies are pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable. The players are the ones that ultimately pay the price. The current state of video games have to change. Monetization can only go so far.
