In 1840, Loxi Claiborne runs a sea salvage business started by her deceased father. A hurricane passes through the Key West area, leaving behind at least one piece of debris in the nearby shallows. Jubilee founders, Loxi and other rescuers race to retrieve the cargo. Not the first to arrive, Loxi and his crew rescue captain Jack Stuart, but they do not share the rescue rights. It looks like King Cutler, the first rescuer on the scene, may have actually planned the wreck.
