Ever since I built the LEGO Roller Coaster 10261 back in June, I wanted to build a somewhat smaller roller coaster. Problem was, the track pieces weren't available right away on LEGO's bricks and pieces page. I tried to stick to a theme of purple track with a yellow support frame. I did buy a bunch of pieces but, I also tried to use pieces that I already had. (You may see a number of pieces that don't match the color scheme, but hey, it's in the name of saving some money). I really lucked out one day at my local LEGO Store. They had yellow 2x2 bricks on their Pick-A-Brick wall. I got about 225 in a large cup.For anyone wondering, the chain on the lift has about 105 links. My next addition will be a ticket booth and the area where the riders line up.
