On February 7th, 1914, with the release of "Kid Auto Races at Venice", Charlie Chaplin introduced the world to his iconic movie character, "The Tramp". However, this was not the first time that Chaplin had donned The Tramp costume for a filmed role. Days before the production of "Kid Auto Races", Chaplin first wore The Tramp costume to film his role in "Mabel's Strange Predicament" (starring Mabel Normand), a movie not released until February 9th. Here they are, restored back-to-back.
