In the past 10 years, there have been over nine million burglaries in the UK. Statistically, this means one in six homes in your street has been broken into, and each year over four billion worth of goods are stolen due to theft and burglary. Police are waging a daily war on this form of crime and ITV1 joins them on the streets to see how they are tackling an issue that will likely affect all of us at some point in our lives.
