IOC 난민 올림픽팀, 2024 파리 올림픽 출전 선수 36명 발표

The International Olympic Committee announced on Thursday the 36 selected athletes from 11 countries who will be competing in the Refugee Team for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Olympics Refugee Team, comprised of 23 male and 13 female athletes, will compete in athletics, badminton, boxing, break dancing, canoeing, cycling, judo, shooting, swimming, taekwondo, weightlifting and wrestling at the Games, which is set to begin on the 24th of July.

The elite athletes from 11 countries were selected from the Olympic Solidarity programme funded by the IOC.

IOC president Thomas Bach said that the refugee athletes should be proud of "representing more than 100 million refugees and migrants around the world".
