In this talk, our speaker talks about the application of LIDAR technology to scan dense jungle areas. Traveling through dense forests with only a couple pairs of eyes makes it very easy to miss old structures, long since covered by vegetation. However, the relatively new introduction of LIDAR into the archeology/anthropology professions has allowed a new look into the hidden lives of the civilizations that were here before us but are now gone.
