Hacen referencia al conflicto de Irlanda del Norte durante la primera mitad del siglo XX. Una de las primeras rebeliones tuvo lugar en la Pascua de abril de 1916. Durante todo el conflicto hubo gran cantidad de violencia y muertes hasta la firma del Acuerdo de Viernes Santo, el 10 de abril de 1998. No obstante la violencia aún se manifiesta ocasionalmente.
Dunoon es un apellido típico irlandés. Mary Dunoon es un símbolo de las madres irlandesas.
