A quick comprehensive guide and analysis of Neteyam, the favorite or Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk’itan from Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) Explained.

In this breakdown, analysis, reaction and explanation we focus the golden child, and eldest son of Jake and Neytiri Sully, named, Neteyam, played by actor Jamie Flatters. In the year 2155, Neteyam got “lion kinged” into the Omaticaya clan. Ever since then, he has been the star athlete, the best hunter out of the Omaticaya youths and he is a great at flying an Ikran (Mountain Banshee); in fact, he's almost as good as his mother.

We discuss Neteyam's relationship with his envious brother Lo'ak (Britain Dalton); and other less envious people like, his sister Kiri (Sigourney Weaver), Tonowari (Cliff Curtis), his other sister Tuk (Trinity Bliss), Tsireya (Bailey Bass), Aonung (Filip Geljo), Norm Spellman (Joel David Moore) and of course, his estranged cousin Spider (Jack Champion). I sadly, have to talk about the last encounter he had with Corporal Lyle Wainfleet. As well as the responsibility and role he was given by his parents, Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana).

Neteyam went through “Dreamhunt”, the final rite of passage before being fully accepted as an adult in the eyes of the Omatikaya; meaning he is a warrior. This all gave Neteyam more responsibility and added to his maturity. In fact, he spends most of his time with the other adults of the Omaticaya.

In order to help better understand this Sully, I reference Avatar: The High Ground Comics, Avatar: An Activist Survival Guide (2009), Avatar The Way of Water The Visual Dictionary (2022) and The Art of Avatar The Way of Water (2022). This will give us the ability to better talk about props (like the blades) and costume design.
