it's been a while! just got the Sonic Spinball soundtrack on vinyl and just had to make a video. i LOVED this game as a kid, and as adult it's still super fun. but man, idk if i've ever made it past that third stage!

The first song is "Toxic Caves", the first stage of the game. Most players will remember this for its grimy bassline and slick grooves. I give it a flip to Side B to "The Machine" a really funky IDM kind of tune. both tracks are played 10% slower than 45RPM, I find Genesis / FM Synth music gets super deep when slowed.

I show of my new lights, they're called TEKE and I kickstarted them over one thousand years ago. Just experimenting with presets today, once I learn to program them I'm excited to try out new lighting arrangements for these videos.

this record was pressed by Data Discs, imo the most legendary and consistent video game record label in the whole dang world. They've pressed my personal favorite #vgmvinyl Streets of Rage by Yuzo Koshiro. So when I saw they were doing the official Sonic Spinball, I had to pick it up!
