British Indian rapper and DJ Panjabi MC - who hails from Coventry. He is best-known for his worldwide single Mundian To Bach Ke. He has released a whopping 16 studio albums and won multiple awards including a MTV EMA, World Music and MOBO in 2003 for Best UK Artist. The DJ - real name Rajinder Singh - found fame when his track Mundian To Bach Ke achieved global recognition. A new version of the track was released in 2003 which featured rap star Jay-Z.

The remix gave bhangra music a global audience and was later featured in a number of films including Bend It Like Beckham and 2021 Netflix film The White Tiger.
