I’m visiting every state park in Florida, and Lake Talquin State Park is #118 on my list (of 175).

Lake Talquin State Park is not like other lake state parks in Florida. There is no boat ramp, instead a pretty fishing dock. There are high bluffs overlooking a reservoir lake. And there is a sweet 1.2 mile hike along steephead ravine drop-offs. The picnic and day use area are exceptionally beautiful. It’s worth a visit.
