A lot of Game of Thrones history is inspired by real history. The Red Wedding was inspired by the Black Dinner, a bloody event in Scotland's history. George RR Martin saw the death of Robb Stark as the natural outcome from the death of Ned Stark. Mayhaps revenge is in store for the Boltons and Freys, and Jon Snow, Arya Stark, and others can serve justice in The Winds of Winter.

Other elements of ASOIAF lore are also lifted from real life, such as The Wall (Hadrian's Wall), Aegon the Conqueror (William the Conqueror), and the Dance of the Dragons in HOTD (The Anarchy). Leave a comment if you'd like to see future videos discussing more historical parallels with A Song of Ice and Fire.
