Question Period is a daily segment of Parliament where the Opposition Parties have a chance to question/grill & pry the Governing party of the day. This gives an opportunity for grandstanding & embellishing, half truths & double speak from all sides giving the masses a fantastic show!
Ohh, such fun!

Question Period is made up of two parts. 45 minutes for Oral Questions/Question Period & 20 munities for a period known as Statements by Members, this section is a chance for "Back~Benchers" to have a say in the most watched part of the day.
Tis called Question Period; Not, Answer Period...

"Each question should be addressed to: a minister;
the spokesperson of the Board of Internal Economy; or
a committee chair.
The right to seek information from the ministry of the day and the right to hold that ministry accountable are two of the fundamental principles of parliamentary government."

Members exercise these rights principally by asking questions in the House.
