The City of Oceanside’s Navigation Center, a year-round emergency shelter opened on 8/17/23. The Oceanside Navigation Center provides a comprehensive range of services to aid those experiencing homelessness find permanent homes, promote health, and rebuild their lives. This program, operated by our partners at the San Diego Rescue Mission, uses a person-centered, trauma-informed care model. The facility accepts people by referral only through the City’s Homeless Outreach Team, Housing Department Social Workers, and our local partners at San Diego Rescue Mission. Walk-in services are not accommodated.
