Harry Reid International Airport (IATA: LAS, ICAO: KLAS, FAA LID: LAS) is an international airport that serves the Las Vegas Valley, a metropolitan area in Nevada, United States. It is located five miles (8 km) south of downtown Las Vegas in the unincorporated area of Paradise and covers 2,800 acres (11 km2) of land. Reid is owned by Clark County and operated by the county's department of aviation.[2][3] Formerly known as McCarran, the airport was named after the late U.S. congressman and senator from Nevada, Harry Reid, two weeks prior to his death in 2021. It has four runways, two terminals numbered 1 and 3, and a people mover. Reid is one of two airports in the United States with slot machines.
