In this video, I look at a few examples from comics legend Stephen Platt, and apply some of the shading techniques he uses to a cover for an upcoming sci fi comic I’m working on. Following along with the process as I sketch, draw, and color the final cover art, I walk through exactly through what I learned from those 90’s Image Comics covers and show where they translate to the final cover art to the upcoming August: Decimation Angels #1.
