Preliminary research suggests both engines of the aircraft failed before it crashed. See the picture below. But bigger concern in the picture below is that right above the plane there is a bird (kite) from the looks. There has been increasing amount of bird hits near Karachi airport. The reason for this is increasing amount of trash thrown in area or in close proximity to the airports. Authorities have a larger problem to deal with and that is trash!
