Answering a request from a Patron, I have put together a video that goes through the steps for quickly taking rough 2D concept sketches and bringing them into 3D using SketchUp. This is a way for artists that aren't familiar with 3D to be able to assemble their designs and potentially even experience them in VR without a lot of previous knowledge in these applications.

This technique is especially helpful if you have built or you have been given a model of an interior space, say it is a theater stage, a ride building, or an empty museum gallery. Bringing flats like these into the space allows you to start placing the set or pictures around inside the scale model. This is quick way to layout an attraction or museum space. Later those elements that will ultimately be dimensional can be replaced by built models but for the purpose of rapidly laying out an environment this is something that nearly anyone can do and it communicates a lot that just 2D drawings can struggle to accomplish.
