A couple of months ago I learned I was living with a diabetes misdiagnosis.

I was originally diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and then I found out that I had another type.

I know that the blame, shame and stigma around having diabetes doesn't just disappear even though my type changes. I do have to say it feels pretty good to know that I DID try my hardest to manage, despite all of the ways people told me I didn't.

I'm not lazy.
I'm not ambivalent about my health.
I AM trying my hardest to take care of myself.

My body was just rebelling.

Learn what tests to ask for that can confirm your diagnosis. And don't stop searching for the answers you deserve.
