In Dragon Ball Super, Whis explained to Goku and Vegeta how ultra instinct work and how they could achieve it. Once pushed to the edge in the tournament of power against Jiren, Goku tapped into ultra instinct and eventually manged to master it. This feet didn't just amaze Whis, but all the other gods of destruction show their respect to Goku as well.
