Backbone: A short action film styled and inspired from Hong Kong action cinema. Two officers stakeout a gang-deal at a local park. We channeled Police Story and Lucky Stars into this one for sure. It started as just a day or 2 practice fight and evolved as we put even more days into it, to really make the fights awesome. (Ignore the fact that we call ourselves "CID" even though we're obviously not HK cops or in HK. It was just the vibe).
Shot in March-April. Editing got unfortunately delayed due to my other projects I shot all summer and fall. I'm very glad to finally share it.
Thank you everyone involved for your hard work. Also, props to Justin as it was his first action film and he absolutely crushed it, plus took that wicked water fall.
