উল্লেখযোগ্য তথ্য হলো, এই গানটি আসলে রচনা করা হয়েছিল ১৯৪৩ সালে, নেতাজি সুভাষ চন্দ্র বসুকে আগমন করার জন্য। নেতাজি যখন ৩রা জুলাই সিঙ্গাপুরে প্রত্যাবর্তন করেন, তখন উচ্ছসিত হয়ে ওঠেন সেখানকার ৩৫ লক্ষ ভারতীয় এবং আজাদ হিন্দ ফৌজের জোয়ানরা। তাঁদের সীমাহীন আনন্দের বহিঃপ্রকাশ ছিল এই গান, যা নতুন রূপে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে আপনাদের সামনে, গুমনামী ছবির মাধ্যমে।

Interestingly, the song was originally composed by 35 lakh Indians and the soldiers of Azad Hind Fauj, and sung by them to welcome Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, when he returned to Singapore on 3rd July 1943!
