Episodic film with animated interludes about two very different couples: in La Balena Bianca a circus dwarf falls in love with a woman but to experience love fully he must first kill his wife, the "cannon woman," and that will not be easy; in Una donna dolce dolce, Rossella (Sandra Milo) treats her husband (Vittorio Caprioli) as if he were a child, even to the point of devising a dramatic stratagem to keep him from leaving.
