The Su-30SM is a multirole fighter aircraft developed by JSC Sukhoi Design Bureau for the Russian Air Force. As a derivative of the Su-30MK family, it combines advanced features like canard surfaces and thrust vector control (TVC) engines, enabling it to perform high-angle-of-attack maneuvers that few other fighter jets can match. With its arsenal of air-to-air missiles, precision-guided munitions, and a powerful automatic cannon, the Su-30SM excels in both air superiority and engaging ground and surface targets. Additionally, its bi-seat configuration allows for pilot training on advanced single-seat fighter jets.

This specialized version of the Su-30MKI and MKM export variants has been further modernized to meet Russian military requirements. Equipped with the Bars-R radar, a wide-angle HUD, and upgraded avionics, the Su-30SM boasts enhanced radar capabilities, communication systems, navigation systems, and more.
